Phil Mickelson – How would you interpret his putting a moving ball on the 13th at recent The US Open?

Phil Mickelson reiterated Monday night that he is sorry for his actions on the third day of the U.S. Open. He also hopes that there will come a time when everyone will be able to laugh about it. But, today Fairweather Golf want to know what you think about it?

Firstly, let’s take a look.

As any keen golfer who watches golf knows, the US Open is notorious for being set up extremely

When you’re in the rough the hole is never far away eh Tommy
June 19, 2018

Tommy Fleetwood had a fantastic amateur career winning several top individual events and then representing GB and I in the Walker Cup at the end of 2009.  However, it’s not always been a story of steady successes.  If you’re unfamiliar with who Fleetwood is, you’d have certainly read about about him this past Sunday as he graced the headlines following the sensational final round of 63 in the past weeks U.S. Open.  The conditions were perhaps more brutal than you’d expect on a final round, so, when he tied the

Been Inspired by The US Open?
June 15, 2018

Have you been inspired watching the US Open? No doubt, if you had, you will have probably seen the most high-profile victim of the ugly combination of punishing rough, testing pin positions and high winds, was non-other than Rory McIlroy who came in at 10-over-par 80. There were 200 double bogeys or worse on day one – compared to 212 for the entire tournament in 2017. Meanwhile our favourite RobGolfPro playing son shot 6-over-park to sit T61. You can see the full leader board here.

Course Changes & Carnoustie

The up and coming 147th Open Championship will return to Carnoustie Golf Links this July for the 8th time. Today we discuss a few changes to the “Worlds Toughest Course” and more about RoboGolfPro and our Swings.

Is The Open Ready For Tiger
June 6, 2018

Tiger Woods is arguably the most famous name in Golf. And with 14 majors already under his belt, Wood’s return comes at a time as he breaks back into the top 100 and continues to improve.

Woods hasn’t teed up at the open since he missed the cut at St Andrew’s back in 2015, and despite his off-field problems and injuries we believe that sooner or later Woods will give us another glimpse of the man who took Golfing to a whole other level. Here at Fairweather we are looking forward

Bryson Dechambeau and his use of statistics

Bryson Dechambeau wins the PGA Tour’s memorial Tournament hosted by Jack Nicklaus.

25 Year old Bryson Dechambeau, who began the final round with a one-shot lead, bogeyed the par-4 18th to force a three-man playoff with Kyle Stanley and Byeong Hun An at 15 under. Stanley fell out on the first playoff hole with a bogey, and then DeChambeau birdied the second for victory.

On top of the prestigious title and $1.6 million purse, his second PGA Tour win in less than a year continued Bryson Dechambeau’s rapid ascent up the Official

BMW Players Championship review by Fairweather Golf, Camberley.
May 22, 2018

Alex Noren will defend his BMW PGA Championship title when he tees it up at the prestigious Surrey venue this week. The Swede was tied 21st on one under par going into the final round last year, but a stunning closing round of 62 – ten under par and a new course record– catapulted him into an unassailable lead.

He finished two shots clear of second placed Francesco Molinari, helped by a fine eagle on the 72nd hole to reach 11 under par. The 35 year old will now bid to

Webb Simpson Leader at The 2018 Players Championship.  Consistency is the Key!
American Webb Simpson scored an amazing course record-equalling 63 to establish a five-shot halfway lead at 15-under in the Players Championship in Florida.
However, Webb Simpson looked set to post a new record after six successive birdies, but found the water when attacking the island green on 17 and posted a double bogey.

“You’re at TPC Sawgrass, so you know trouble is everywhere,” Simpson said.

Simpson, the 2012 US Open champion, had started the tournament by compiling an accomplished 66 but accelerated
